Grade 3-4 Students Participate in Speech Contest

Grade 3-4 Students Participate in Speech Contest

At the Soran International School on April 11, 2015, students in grades 3-4 participated in a speech contest. Responsible for organizing the event were the Student Life Coordinator, the English leader, and English teachers.

The speech contest actually originated from a writing contest on the topic, a story about you, which aligned with the students’ curriculum. The top five students were judged on their writing and speaking skills. Then, awards were handed out to the winners and all participants. “It was the best day in our school, because our teachers and students were together,” a student said.

Participating students were given a great opportunity to improve on their writing and speaking abilities. Also, the contest helped motivate students to want to write and speak in front of an audience.
