Soran International School Holds Annual Spring Concert

To celebrate the beginning of spring, Soran International School held their traditional annual Spring Concert on April 11, 2013, for students in Kindergarten and grades 1 and 2. This year’s theme was “Mother Earth” and all the songs emphasized the importance and beauty of nature, the earth, the animal kingdom, and the precious water resources.

The concert kicked off with Grade 2 students singing the Kurdish national anthem and then went on to showcase young talent.   “I couldn’t believe it when I saw my shy son get up in front of everyone and sing in English!” exclaimed one proud parent.

Soran International School is committed to raising environmental awareness and encouraging a love of nature in its students from a very young age. Concerts and activities are regularly held throughout the school year to instill this appreciation of nature in its students.
