Soran Students Take a Trip to Barzan

Soran Students Take a Trip to Barzan

On April 18, 2018, Grade 6 students in Soran International School, a SABIS® PPP School in Kurdistan, took a trip to Barzan.

The students gathered in the school and rode buses to Barzan together. Their first stop was at the graves of Mustafa and Idris Barzani to pay their respects and learn about the history of Barzan. Afterwards, the students had a picnic near Barzan, where students ate food they brought from home and played together.

The purpose of this activity was for students to learn the history of Barzan and about the Barzani family. It was also a relaxing way to spend the afternoon together in nature. “We really enjoyed the afternoon and it was interesting to see the graves of the Barzani family,” said a student. To visit the gallery of the event, please click here.
