Soran Students Visit K24 Media Station

Students in Grade 7 in Soran International School, a SABIS^® PPP school in Kurdistan, visited the K24 media channel on February 16, 2018.

The students took the bus to the station where they were warmly welcomed by the staff there. After being welcomed, the students were given a tour of all the different departments media channel station. On the tour the students had many questions which were all answered by the staff, who were impressed by the students’ interest, cleverness, and behavior. The students ended the trip with a group picture with the staff before heading back to school on the buses.

The purpose of this activity was to give students the opportunity to see how news is broadcasted and how a media channel station works. It was also a once in a lifetime opportunity for students to meet and speak with people who work in the industry.
